Old Salem Museums & Gardens school group programs have been designed to help teachers and students meet the North Carolina Social Studies Curriculum requirements. We are dedicated to providing quality historical programs following the guidelines set for students by the State of North Carolina.

We offer two types of tours to meet your students and your curriculum needs. Our hands-on, museum educator led Experience Tours are 2 1/2 hours in length and are for grades 1 - 8.  For a detailed description of the activities and NC Competency Goals and Objectives for each grade level see our Experience Tour page.

The Self-Guided Historic Salem Town Visit provides students the opportunity to interact with our costumed interpretive staff while touring the historic district. A Salem Town Visit is an excellent way to see all the buildings in Salem and can be added on to a morning or afternoon Experience Tour to complete your day at Old Salem Museums & Gardens.
