Old Salem Museums & Gardens is currently seeking to fill the following positions:

Part-time Museum Educators

Part-time costumed staff is needed for leading hands-on children’s tours and activities in the Single Brothers’ Workshop. The schedule varies weekly and includes some weekends and holidays. Good hand skills and experience with children and adults are essential. Training is provided. Period costumes are also provided along with instructions for the proper way to wear and care for them.

Part-time Historic Interpreters

Part-time costumed staff is needed to greet and interact with visitors in our historic buildings, and to provide excellent customer service.  Current openings are part-time only, working Saturdays (9:10 am to 4:45 pm) and Sundays (12:40 pm to 4:45 pm).  Some weekday work may be available on occasion (Tuesday thru Friday, 9:10 am to 4:45 pm). Position requires excellent communication and customer service skills, the ability to stand for long periods of time and go up and down stairs, and the ability to work well with groups and individuals (children and adults).  Training is provided.  Period costumes are also provided along with instructions for the proper way to wear and care for them.
