Trees are champions of great benefit to the environment, including beautiful shade. There are numerous native and cultivated shade species adapted to our Piedmont soils and climate. Learn the merits of many trees for home landscaping. Weather permitting, there will be opportunity after the lecture to see several species in the Old Salem landscape.

A free workshop hosted by Old Salem Horticulture.

This lunch time workshop will last about one hour. Attendees may bring a lunch; beverages provided.
