Join us to celebrate 250 years of history in Salem, 1766 to 2016.   Fun and engaging demonstrations, building interpretations and hands-on activities throughout the historic district. Learn how the Moravians built this town for trades and commerce in the back country of North Carolina, starting in 1766.

  • Learn how oats/wheat are threshed
  • Harvesting herbs for home use
  • Give cooling cinnamon water a try!
  • Write with a quill pen
  • Try 18th century chocolate
  • Learn how dyes were made out of natural ingredients
  • And much more!

Please call 1-800-441-5305 to make a reservation for your family. Space is limited for this program, so we suggest making your reservations early.

Reservations must be made by noon on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 to receive the discounted admission price ($11 per child and $23 per adult). After September 6, the full admission price of $13 per student and $27 per adult will apply for the event. Sorry, tickets are non-refundable. NC sales tax will be applied.
