May 16, STARSHINE:

Salem Band opens its summer season with trumpet soloist David Teague performing “Stardust.” “Star Trek,” “Star Wars,” Dixieland, Broadway, and Baroque round out the program.

May 30, SUNSHINE:

Our Sunshine program features music from “Cats,” Elton John, Led Zepplin, Holst, and Salem Band vocal soloist Mignon Dobbins performing “Wind Beneath My Wings.”

JUNE 13, SWINGING ON A STAR:

Wear your dancing shoes and “Jump, Jive, & Wail” with Salem Band as we play Benny Goodman, Cole Porter, Carole King, Big-Band, and Broadway. Featuring Salem Band trombone soloist Lieryn Barnett performing “Swing Lo, Sweet Chariot”

JULY 4, STARS AND STRIPES:

Honoring veterans in our community with music of Big Bands, Battle Hymn, the Armed Forces, and marches. Don’t miss Salem Band piccolo soloist Trisha Tuttle performing “Through the Air.” And of course, “Stars & Stripes Forever.”

JULY 25, BEST OF SALEM BAND/Moravian Music Festival:

Salem Band is proud to feature Conductor Emeritus and euphonium soloist Jeff Whitsett performing the North Carolina premier of “Vignettes” by Patrick Burns. In collaboration with the Moravian Music Festival, Salem Band will perform for our local fans and for guests from across the country. “American Salute,” polkas, swing, “South Pacific,” and more of your favorites from the Salem Band library.
