250 years ago, the Moravians founded the town of Salem–which, in essence, also marks the birth of Winston-Salem, now known as the City of Arts and Innovation. Throughout 2016, Old Salem Museums & Gardens, along with partner institutions in Winston-Salem, have been commemorating and celebrating the beginnings of this beloved city.

Sawtooth School for Visual Art joins in the celebration this fall by offering classes and workshops inspired by the art, history and culture of Salem in 1766. Additional information on the creative sessions listed below can be found at www.sawtooth.org/classes. Sawtooth members may register on-line; Old Salem members should call Sawtooth at 336.723.7395 ext. 201 to take advantage of the member discount.

Visit www.oldsalem.org/250 for information about events being held in Old Salem to mark this very special anniversary.
