The Cross the Line Project makes classical music accessible to the Winston-Salem community. This one-hour concert will feature chamber musicians from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts playing high-caliber classical music in engaging and creative ways to cross the line between audiences and musicians.

This program features the renowned UNCSA Chrysalis Brass Quintet, with members Lousson Smith (trumpet), Chris Williams (trumpet), Brittany Thomas (french horn), Daniel Kane (trombone), and CJ Luke (bass trombone).

Repertoire will include classical music from various time periods and will showcase the quintet’s stylistic interpretations of music by Johann Pezel, Henry Fillmore, Giles Farnaby, Robert Nagel, Manning Sherwin, Eric Maschwitz, and Kevin McKee. During the concert, musicians will engage with the audience with creative activities and dialogue.

Free and open to the public.

Harvest Day in Old Salem is also taking place on October 15.
