GRADE 3

This 2 1/2 hour hands-on tour compares and contrasts family and community life, past and present. All tours are led by costumed museum educators.

Students will:

* Participate in school activities in a 19th century classroom setting.

* Help with necessary chores and skills during a cooking experience.

* Learn about being an apprentice while working with clay to make a roof tile.

* Learn about family roles and how to turn flax grown in the field into linen.
