Directions

Old Salem is located south of downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The Old Salem Visitor Center address is 900 Old Salem Road for those who use computer mapping. Brown highway signs from US Highway 52 and Interstate 40 in Winston-Salem will help you to find Old Salem from the Stadium Drive exit.

Stadium Drive Exit 108C on US Highway 52

At the Stadium Drive exit from US Highway 52 (from both directions) you will turn to the right on Stadium Drive and go to the stop light at Salem Avenue. Turn left at the stop light and follow the Salem Avenue until you come to the large traffic circle at Old Salem Road. Automobiles should bear to the right onto Old Salem Road. Just after going under the wooden pedestrian bridge overpass, turn at next left (Walnut Street) into Visitor Center parking lot. Buses should continue straight on Salem Avenue to the next stop light at Marshall Street, turn right on Marshal Street and go up slight hill to next cross street of Walnut, just past Walnut Street to the right is the bus entrance for bus drop off and pick up at the Visitor Center.

There is additional automobile parking on the far side of the brown building next to the small Visitor Center parking lot. There are also large parking spaces to accommodate buses and oversized recreational vehicles.
