Old Salem Museums & Gardens to Delay Opening on May 1 For Race For The Cure

Winston-Salem, N.C. – Because of street closings in and around the historic district during the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure® on Saturday morning, May 1, Old Salem Museums & Gardens will delay opening its visitor center until noon.  Ticket prices that day will be reduced.

“We know that on race day, we will have some out-of-town visitors who will be unaware of the Komen Race and our delayed opening,” said Lee L. French, president and CEO, “so as a courtesy to them, we will reduce our ticket prices for all visitors on that day.  They will pay our lower, Sunday prices.”

The all-in-one ticket prices on May 1 will be $16 for adults; $8 for children.  (Tickets to the Frank L. Horton Museum Center on May 1 will remain $10 for adults; $5 for children ages 6 to 16.)

Old Salem Museums & Gardens is a bronze sponsor of the Komen Race.
