Old Salem offers a number of convenient ways to see The Historic Town of Salem, MESDA, and the Gardens of Salem.
Purchase your ticket online now, or stop at the Old Salem Visitor Center first to purchase your visitor tickets; watch our brief introduction to the Moravians and their town of Salem; review the historical exhibits; and visit our shops and food service area. Please note that most buildings close for entry at 4:30 p.m. If you are interested in a specific building, please note that some buildings may be closed on a particular day. Ask about building closings before purchasing your ticket.

The All-in-One TicketThe Old Salem All-In-One Visitor Ticket includes: • A self-guided tour of the Historic Town of Salem • A guided tour of MESDA • The Gardens of Salem Tuesday -Saturday Adults • $21.00 (Buy online to save $3!) / Children ages 6-16 • $10.00 Sunday (special price due to limited hours, not available for online purchase) Adults • $16.00 / Children ages 6-16 • $8.00 Also available is the All-In-One Ticket for 2 consecutive days, which allows the bearer entrance into all museums and gardens for 2 consecutive days. Adults • $24.00 / Children ages 6-16 • $12.00
In addition to cash, the Old Salem Visitor Center accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover credit cards. General admission tickets may be purchased online.
Tickets for Homeschool Days, Scout Days, Museum Classes, evening events, group tours, and other special tickets must be purchased by calling 1-800-441-5305.

The Two-Stop TicketFor our visitors who are short on time, Old Salem Museums & Gardens offers another option, the Two-Stop ticket. The Two-Stop ticket allows entrance to any two historic buildings within Old Salem. For example, you could tour the Tavern and the Single Brothers' House; or the Vierling House and the Vogler Gun Shop; or any number of combinations, choosing the two buildings that interest you most. Horton Center ticketThis ticket gains you admission to the museum located in the Frank L. Horton Museum Center: The Museum of Early Southern Decorative Arts (MESDA). Tickets are required for ALL visitors (except babies). Adults • $10.00 / Children ages 6-16 • $5.00 |
Ticket PricingIf you purchase your ticket on-site, ask the Visitor Center staff for any building closings, or check the overhead TV screens. Particularly in January and February, some buildings may be closed for maintenance, repainting and other repairs.

Print your receipt
After purchasing you ticket, print your receipt, and bring it with you when picking up your tickets at Old Salem's Visitor Center.

All tickets are non-refundable. Pricing and entitlements for admission passes and tickets are subject to change. Events are subject to change; some may be weather dependent. Discounts do not apply to tickets purchased online.
