Single Sisters' House

Single Sisters' House - Building Image

The Single Sisters' House, a national landmark of women’s achievement, is the earliest remaining building in the remarkable history of Salem Academy and College. Built in 1785, and enlarged in 1819,it is one of the most significant buildings in the history of women’s education in the United States.

 

The Single Sisters' House iss currently open for tours facilitated by the Academy and College.
