At Old Salem Museums & Gardens, history comes alive during our hands-on activities:

  • Experience life two hundred years ago in Salem.
  • Refine your manners during a 19th century deportment lesson or try your hand at paper piercing.
  • Get the chance to write with a quill pen or play games on the square.
  • Explore these and many other historically based activities during your visit to Old Salem Museums & Gardens.

Scheduled hands-on activities may vary.

Hands-on activities are offered Wednesdays and Thursdays (10:30 a.m.-12 p.m. and 1 p.m.-2:30 p.m.); October 12 – December 15, 2016 in the dining room of the Single Brothers’ House. (Activities may be cancelled due to inclement weather and not held on Science Alive dates).
