DESCRIPTION:On Saturday\, August 1st\, Old Salem will kick off our Summer Science Scavenger Hunt\, running through the end of September! Sponsored by Novant Health\, the scavenger hunt allows families to collect science facts as they tour the historic district—scavenger hunt materials available with your ticket at check-in. Young scientists who complete the Scavenger Hunt will received a prize when they present their sheet at one of the ticket counters! \nThis activity is included with your standard admission ticket. Just ask at the ticket counter for your materials\, and happy learning!

Finish the three-part series with a packet of seeds – a mix of nectar flowers and host plants native to the Southeast for you to plant at home and attract butterflies to your own garden! \nOur gardens here at Old Salem may be wet or muddy on the day of the event\, so please wear weather-appropriate clothing and closed toe shoes if you choose to join us and take part in supporting monarchs and other pollinators of our region!
