Winter Fair: Wake The Parson (Traditional Folk Music)
Thursday, December 27, 2018 1:30 PM - 2:30 PM Historic St. Philips African Moravian Church
The acoustic trio Wake the Parson is toe-tapping, heart twisting, and downright delightful. These musicians draw on traditional dance music and ‘listening tunes’ from around the world, particularly Great Britain, Scandinavia and, of course, America and Appalachia. Their unique instrumentation—hammered dulcimer, cello and guitar—puts a fresh folk spin on these time-tested melodies. Make your event unique and memorable with Wake the Parson on your main stage or as background music. After all, if something’s important, it’s always a good idea to Wake the Parson.
