Winter Fair Walking Tour of the Schultz Shop and its Restoration

Step through time as we explore the 1827 Schultz Shoe Shop.  This gem of trades architecture remains closed to the public, pending further restoration.  This is your chance to step forward and immerse yourself in this early 19^th century craft.  Smell the leather; work historic tools; try your hand (or foot) at reproduction shoes.  This tour will also examine the restoration needs for the building, from vantage points inside and outside.  You’re sure to find a good footing and appreciate the craft and architecture of the early Moravians.

 

Tour will meet at the Shoe Shop, 714 South Main Street, just south of West and Main.  Look for the little red building, with the big personality!
