Description:
Small Berlin needlework pattern with ovoid pink and white floral design in the center; the patten is on paper with a grid; the grid is then painted, each square accordingly. The paper is adhered to cardstock with blue and red marbled paper. The “No. 4” is written in the upper left corner in pencil.
History:
This pattern belonged to Lisetta Caroline Meinung was born January 8 1812 and died July 25, 1855. She was a teacher at Salem Girls School from 1830 to 1844. She never married. Her parents were Friedrich Christian Meinung and Johanna Elizabeth Praezel.
