Description:
Cupboard of walnut with open shelves at the top. Each of the top two shelves has a thin plate support. The bottom shelf –which serves as the top of the bottom portion of the cupboard– is open. The pottom portion of the cupboard has two drawers over two paneled doors. The drawers have been relined at the sides and some alteration at the shelf space. The doors and drawers have knob-like pulls. Simple shaped feet are extensions of the side rails of the cupboard. Rectangular iron hinges.

This type of cupboard is referred to as a “Kitchen Dresser” on a late eighteenth century joiner’s price list associated with Salem.
