Description:
DESCRIPTION: Large wide-mouthed redware storage jar; glazed inside with brown glaze. Exterior unglazed. 1 strap handle with three deep finger imprints on terminal. Evidence that another handle existed but has broken off. 3 ringed band around shoulder; defined foot. No markings on bottom.
History:
LABEL NOTES: Has a history of use at Bethania Moravian Chruch to carry coffee for Love Feast; attributed to Bethabara master potter John Butner.
