Description:
Music was an important part of life in Moravian communities, and many members played musical instruments. This violin descended in the family of Salem cabinetmaker, Karsten Petersen.
DESCRIPTION: Violin, spruce top, maple bottom and walnut sides. Probably German manufacture. LOA 28 7/8 (bow)

This violin has a history of ownership in Salem.
