DESCRIPTION: Map, Wachovia Tract IV showing land entries of that period and with later additions. Mounted on checked linen. Condition better than #564.1 but split across face in one place. Red banner frames Wachovia Tract title. Bottom left corner has “Explication” of signs outlined in black and orange with a floral design on bottom right corner. Has scale across bottom as well as compass star in orange and yellow and topped with a fleur de lis.
History:
HISTORY: Given by direct descendants of F.C. Meinung. He was son of Carl Ludwig Meinung who succeeded Reuter as surveyor in Wachovia and Salem.
