The original plate, part of the Old Salem Museums & Gardens collection, was likely made in the pottery shop of Solomon Loy between 1800-1835 in Alamance County (once known as Orange County), North Carolina.  The plate features several of the geometric designs which distinguished pottery from Loy’s shop.  Our reproduction plate was made by Old Salem potters using lead-free glazes.  It measures approximately 10.5″ in diameter and will arrive gift boxed with a “Handcrafted Salem 1766” tag.
