Description

At the turn of the nineteenth century, the shop of Salem master potter, Rudolph Christ, began making press-molded earthenware.  This inventory included smoking pipes, stove tiles, figural and non-figural bottles, and casters.  The Lady Bottle was one of many press-molded designs made in Salem throughout the nineteenth century by Christ’s successors as well.  Our reproduction Lady Bottle, made by Old Salem Museums & Gardens potters, wears a long dress and holds a flower.  She is created with lead-free glazes and measures approximately 7″ tall x 3″ wide.  Your Lady Bottle will arrive in a kraft gift box with a “Handcrafted Salem 1766” tag.
