Description
This four-sided, pyramid-shaped frame is a Moravian Christmas Pyramid. This was the forerunner of the Christmas tree we know today. The Moravians that journeyed to America and settled in Pennsylvania and then North Carolina, brought this lovely tradition with them. It would typically be decorated with a nativity scene or “Putz”, fruit, candies, greenery, and candles. Our miniature pyramid is the perfect size for a small space. It is made of oak by a talented Old Salem Museums & Gardens craftsman. He has added four candleholders crafted of wire. This pyramid measures approximately 9″ x 12″ x 10.5″ and will come with four, 3″ beeswax candles.
