In 1807, Christian Winkler came to Salem as the town’s new baker.  Upon his arrival, the original bakery was renamed “Winkler Bakery.”  Winkler Bakery soon became known for having the finest baked goods, including the original Moravian Cookie.  Today, the Winkler Bakery at Old Salem Museums & Gardens continues to produce its famous baked goods.  Proceeds from your purchase of this product directly benefit the preservation, restoration, and educational programming at Old Salem Museums & Gardens. 

Both kids and adults love our Sugar Cookies!  Eat alone or pair with fresh seasonal fruit or ice cream.  The delicious crunchiness will satisfy any sweet tooth.  Our Sugar Cookies are made with real butter and fresh eggs and come packed in two 7oz cello bags within a reusable tin.
