Hands-On History Workshops at Old Salem
This summer, discover the artistry, science, and craftsmanship of early Salem through our immersive hands-on workshops. Whether you’re crafting with clay, stitching a book, or exploring botany, these Friday evening experiences invite participants of all ages to step into the past and leave with something handmade. All workshops are held at the Single Brothers’ Workshop, 10 West Academy Street.
✂️ Corn Husk Dolls

Let your creativity bloom as you explore the early 1800s tradition of corn-husk doll making. This kid-friendly session teaches both traditional and accessible techniques. Participants create two dolls of their own to take home.
